However you found your way here, and whatever you were hoping to find, I just wanted to let you know that this blog is [unfortunately] pretty much dormant.
If you want to keep track of me on the web, you're better off connecting with me on twitter, facebook, flickr or shooting me an email.

I’ve been super busy with school, my clubs, and the homecoming fundraising committee which I co-chaired.
Unfortunately, I’ve barely picked up my camera in that whole time, and I’ve been way too busy to update this blog.
Partially because I started a new blog, for my English class, called LGBT etcetera. It’s a blog (written from a teen perspective, duh) on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues. I’ve written a few posts on it so far, and I like how they’ve been turning out. So if you have a chance, check it out, especially because it’s likely to be updated much more frequently than this blog this school year
So yah, that’s it. Pop over there if you get a chance, but if that’s not your cup-of-tea that's cool too.
I hope that all of you are having wonderful falls so far =].

This Saturday, I had a photo shoot with Heather Daigle (of the awesome blog, Speak the Culture). This was something new for me, as Heather’s going to be using the photos for her social media presence (twitter, linked-in, facebook, etc.) and to eventually help create a professional brand for herself online.
We shot on the mostly empty Northwestern Campus, and I had a blast working with her. I only hope that my photos do her vivacious self justice. Here’s just a few of my (quickly edited) favorites from the shoot.
On an unrelated note, my blog has a totally new look, so if you read it via RSS come and check it out and let me know what you think!

I was hanging out in my room today, browsing the web, and I though back to last summer, when I redid my room and it was organized and just really pleasant to be in. In contrast, as of this morning my room sported piles of clothes on the floor, stacks of paper everywhere, and loads of knickknacks and garbage on every available surface.
I spent a little under an hour throwing things out or just moving objects to where they should be. My room looks a whole lot better now, and I feel a lot better when I’m in it. There’s a lot of research (which I’m too lazy to find) that posits that your environment plays a large role in your mood, and I would totally agree.

So for my Spanish video project, I (along with the rest of my group, Kate, Emily and Marika) have to include a music video along with three commercials, and our general plot.
We didn’t think we’d be able to pull of a dance-y, loud, party music video, so we decided we’d do a mellow, artsy, slightly pretentious stop-motion video to Juana Molina’s “Vive Solo”
Here are some of my favorite stills. I’ll definitely post the full video on here once it’s finished.
